Man Vs. Food

Food can get a bad reputation sometimes. All different kinds of eaters exist on this planet, and everyone has their own opinion about what is good and bad for us. Sometimes we are told that a little bit of chocolate is good for the soul, other times, studies 'say' that just one bite could take 10 years off of our lives.

So how do we know what to believe? Each study reads something different, and each individual has the option to choose what foods are their friends. Additionally, they have the choice of what foods they want to stay away from. While we all know that processed foods, fast food, and too much sugar can lead to obesity, what about the silent killers? The foods that we think are good, but actually are secretly forcing us to pack on the pounds.

From what I've heard in the past, I should stay away from grapes and bananas. I've never understood why, after all, aren't they fruits? And aren't fruits good for us? But apparently they carry a high amount of sugar. Suddenly, even the foods we were taught at a young age should be our comrades have suddenly turned against us.

LUCKILY I continue to read articles every day that refute that claim. Including one attached above that tells me that grapes are a nutritional powerhouse. I will continue to eat in moderation, but I will also continue to eat what I enjoy. After all, isn't life supposed to be sweet?
